Our HSS made Gear hobs are specifically manufactured for generating profile of gears of maximum high accuracy for achieving finishing of gears as per DIN, ANSI, BS standards.
Raw material of gear hob cutters is suggested by us as per the hardness of gear (Rockwell / Brinell) to cut. Often times, there is huge number of gears of quantity which have to be cut by many AUTOMOBILE & INDUSTRIAL gear manufactures – we recommend them different types of raw material & surface PVD coatings 2-4 microns to have a smooth and better life of cutters .

Micro Gear Hob Cutter are generally made to cut gears having small refine micro gear pitches, such micro pitch gearing has to be done to achieve high finishing and accuracy. Many industries such as automobiles, clock industry, precision gearing requires gear hobbing to generate very small pitches Starting from 0.15 Module to 1.0 module. These are very high precision gear hobs and are made with or without topping feature in M35, ASP30 Material generally.

Shank Type Gear Hob cutters are designed to cut internal teeth worm gears. Wherever internal worm gear tooth has to be cut for finishing, shank type hobs are used.
Internal worms are generated by shank type (without bore) gear hobs with both ends having morse taper shanks with cutting teeth profile in between them to cut accurately.
As per client component speed and feed rate to its hobbing machines, we do advise and recommend them different types of HSS raw material & surface PVD coatings 2-4 microns to have a smooth and better life of cutters.

These gear hobs are made in carbide material (instead of high speed steel) and are generally supplied where the cutting has to be done at very high speed and feed rate or for getting mass production or cutting high hardness brittle material – Carbide Gear Hobs are used. Tungsten material has the ability to give good production lot as well as cutting high Rockwell hardness components. These hobs are made to cut Small micro pitches.

Spur gears are involute in shape and for cutting these gears, solid involute gear hobs are designed specifically to the tooth profile of gear.
